Weybridge On-Street Parking Charges - January 2011

Surrey has brought in new proposals for controlling on-street parking in Weybridge, including pay-and-display.

Surrey County Council propose to introduce on-street charging in all of Surrey's 11 boroughs and districts by Spring 2012.

A report outlining the proposals is available to view online on the Surrey County Council website, along with the proposed plans for each area.

Weybridge North proposals

For Weybridge North, proposals include a much more acceptable restriction along Portmore Park Road, between Balfour Road and Portmore Way, of no waiting between 10am and 11am. This is the locally preferred solution, which prevents all day 'commuter parking', while allowing visitors and locals to park at all other times.

Weybridge roads NOT covered

The decision not to act on multiple requests to improve the safety of the Grotto Road and Thames Street junction remains a disappointment for many people in Weybridge North, who signed a petition asking for action.
